Resist Printing with Gelli Arts® Plates, Books, and Magazines

Watch Birgit as she shows us how you can use old book pages and all kinds of magazines for resist printing.

First she rolls out a thin layer of one or more colours on the plate, making sure to have a nice and even layer. Then she places the image she wants to “transfer’’ right side down on the plate and rubs firmly. She carefully lifts up the paper. Then she lets the transferred image dry well. When the image is dry, she adds new paint to the plate in a thin layer. You can see how the image shines through. Next, she places a sheet of paper on top right away, rubs firmly, and pulls the print. Her plate is clean and she has a beautiful print.
