Worbla KobraCast Art (WKA) White Thermoplastic Modelling & Moulding Sheet - 180mm x 250mm x 0.5mm

by Cast4Art

Worbla ® KobraCast Art (WKA) is a lightweight, stretchable (when heat activated) thermoplastic mesh modelling substance in sheet form. KobraCast tear-resistant mesh surface maintains it's mesh texture when formed, similar to that of fine medical gauze. Paint can be applied directly onto it, or it can be primed with gesso or other primers to smooth out the surface before painting.

KobraCast Art is activated by means of heat, preferably at approximately 80-90°C, in order to be able to shape it by hand or in a mould. WKA can be re-activated as often as desired and all leftovers can be re-used so there is almost no wastage.

In addition, KobraCast Art has a strong, heat-activated adhesive and can be easily combined with itself and other materials. It can be sewn through quite easily for attaching leather, fur, fabrics and more and is ideal as a stabilizing substructure to use for bags, corsets and much more.

KobraCast Art stays somewhat flexible even after cooling which makes it possible to separate from complex moulds, including those with undercuts.
