Mobile Phone Gem Case & Card Tutorial

Case

Step 1

Clean your mobile phone cover.

Step 2

You can either paint your cover silver now or leave it (as I did) until after the gems were glued on.

Step 3

Place the gems onto the face of the cover arranging them in a pattern you like. I have used 3 partial flowers and 1 small flower.

Step 4

Once you are happy with the design remove a section of the gems and liberally coat a small area of the cover with glue.

Step 5

Replace the gems on the glued area.

Step 6

Repeat these steps until the entire area is covered.

Step 7

I now painted the edges and any large areas of the red which were showing. I quite liked the look of the red just peeping through in some spots but if you don’t like that, paint before gluing gems on.

Card

Step 1

Cut a piece of white card 20 x 7 cm. Score and fold in half, length ways.

Step 2

Using the outer section of the die place it on the folded white card making sure you place it a little above the fold so you don’t cut through the top.

Step 3

Run it through your die cutting machine a couple of times to make sure both pieces of the card are cut through cleanly.

Step 4

Cut of piece of silver card 10 x 7 cm.

Step 5

Using the outer section of the die again, place it on the middle of the silver card and run it through your die cutting machine.

Step 6

Using double sided foam attach the silver card to the white card.

Step 7

Take the silver/grey card and cut a piece 10 x 7 cm.

Step 8

Using the centre section of the die place it on the middle of the silver/grey card and run it through the die cutting machine.

Step 9

Cut a piece of white card 5 x 6 cm.

Step 10

Cut a piece of acetate 5 x 6 cm.

Step 11

Using the stamps in this set (or any others you like) stamp a greeting on the piece of white card.

Step 12

Very carefully apply a tiny line of glue around the edges of the white piece of card and place the piece of acetate on top.

Step 13

Leave to dry.

Step 14

Using Stazon black ink pad stamp some symbols on the silver/grey card.

Step 15

Now attach the dry acetate and white card to the back of the phone front using double sided tape.

Step 16

Using double sided foam attach this section to the phone base.

Step 17

Punch a hole in the top left corner of the front of the phone card.

Step 18

Tie a tiny red heart to the front of the card using silver card.
