Easy to make clear acrylic keepsake memory domes for your Valentine, New Baby, Anniversaries and Special Celebrations. Simply use a two-part clear acrylic ball to create two thoughtful gifts with the word Love in them. The memory domes can be further altered, either by attaching a magnet to the bottom to place on fridges or by creating two layers of the base plate and inserting coins between them to be used as paperweights.
Draw around the two halves of the acrylic ball circles onto the grey book board. Cut out the shapes.
Glue a piece of cotton fabric onto one book board circle. Do the same with jute on the other one. Set aside for later.
Paint the decorative shapes (paper hearts, wooden items) you've chosen to use, with the inks.
Using round nose pliers, shape the wire to create the word 'love'.
Cut a fabric heart a bit bigger than the large paper heart. Fringe the edges.
Glue the fabric heart, then the large paper heart, slightly bending it to the centre. Glue a metal gear on the heart.
Continue adding the other embellishments.
On the second fabric circle base, gently distress the edges of the base with ink. Cut wires, form circles and glue them onto the base using a silicone glue.
Glue a shabby chiffon flower to the base, then the heart to the side of it. Continue adding the other embellishments.
Attach the domes to the bases with clear silicone glue or other strong glue.
