Handmade Die Cut Flowers for Sympathy Cards

One of my favourite cards to make are Sympathy cards! It's not that I go around wishing to make these cards but whenever I am required or asked to do so I find them the most relaxing and prayed over cards that I ever create. It's as if I get lost in time as my heart fills with tenderness towards the loved one that has passed and compassion for those who are now left missing them. People are very precious indeed.

A few months ago I was asked to create five Sympathy cards for Practical Publishing's Die-Cutting Essential Magazine which is on sale in the shops now. The brief was to use Leane Creatief dies and embossing folders. Leane Creatief have a fabulous selection of dies to make flowers and I knew that the Marianne Design mulberry papers would be the perfect paper to use with them. For my background papers I chose the timeless classic, My Botanic Garden papers from Studio Light as I was aiming for dignified elegance with a touch of colour with my card making. The links to the products used are displayed at the bottom of this post.

Glue the frame and text panel onto the card. Glue the second centre panel to the back of the front panel and card to strengthen the structure.
