Valentine's Chocolate Box Tutorial

Step 1

Trace around the lid of the heart box onto maroon dotted paper and cut out 2 hearts – make one slightly smaller to fit inside the lid.

Step 2

Trace around the bottom of the heart box onto maroon dotted paper and cut out 2 heart – once again one slightly smaller to fit inside the base.

Step 3

Cut 2 strips of maroon dotted paper 1.25 cm wide.

Step 4

Cut 2 strips of maroon dotted paper 2.5 cm wide.

Step 5

Adhere all of these piece to the heart box with double sided tape and/or glue. NB don’t add paper to the inside edges of the lid or the fit will be too tight.

Step 6

Cut a piece of lace to fit around the lid of the box and adhere with glue.

Step 7

NB – make the joins on the side of the lid where they can be hidden under the die cut heart.

Step 8

Decorate the lid with flowers and stamens.

Step 9

Die cut small heart from maroon dotted paper.

Step 10

Die cut small heart from scrap of cream card.

Step 11

Trace around the small heart onto a scrap of maroon cardstock and cut it out.

Step 12

Attach outside section of maroon dotted heart with glue to the maroon cardstock.

Step 13

Attach inside section of cream card with glue to the maroon cardstock.

Step 14

Make a small hole in the top right section of the heart.

Step 15

Thread some twine through the hole and tie a bow.

Step 16

Thread extra twine through the hole and attach under the largest rose. Use some glue to anchor it.

Step 17

Add your gift. I added 2 chocolate hearts (they fitted perfectly).
