Wine Bottle Tag Tutorial

Step 1

Cut a piece of Green card 24 x 8 cm.

Step 2

Score the card 7 cm from the top.

Step 3

Cut a piece of Dark Blue card 16.5 x 7.5 cm.

Step 4

Attach this piece to the Green card using ds tape.

Step 5

Cut 2 pieces of Dark Blue card 6.5 x 7.5 cm and attach 1 to the top of the Green card with ds tape.

Step 6

Cut a piece of Dotty Green paper (from the paper pad) 16 x 7 cm.

Step 7

Attach to the Dark Blue card with ds tape.

Step 8

Cut a piece of Dotty Green paper 6 x 7 cm and attach to the Dark Blue card.

Step 9

Die-cut a circle from the centre of the top section of the tag.

Step 10

Placing a smaller circle die inside a slightly larger circle die, die-cut a collar from Dark Blue card and attach around the circle already cut out of the top section.

Step 11

Cut a piece of Dark Blue card 7.5 x 2.25 cm and a slightly larger piece of Green card to mat it on. Adhere these 2 pieces with ds tape.

Step 12

Using ds tape attach the “2015” strip to.

Step 13

Stamp “2015” on the Dark Blue card with Versamark and sprinkle with Gold embossing powder. Heat with Heat gun.

Step 14

Die-cut a champagne bottle and cork from the scrap of white card.

Step 15

Colour the bottle and cork using Copic markers.

Step 16

Add Glossy lacquer to the bottle to give it a glass-like appearance.

Step 17

Attach the bottle to the tag using ds foam tape and attach the cork using ds tape to the top left corner.

Step 18

Using the glossy lacquer draw some lines or swirls coming out of the neck of the bottle and sprinkle with tiny stars from the glitter tubes. Allow to dry and shake off the excess stars.

Step 19

Die-cut the Falling Stars from gold card.

Step 20

Cut sections from the die-cut to place coming out of the bottle and cut some stars from the die-cut piece to randomly place on the top of the tag using Glossy Lacquer to adhere.

Step 21

Cut 4 free-hand 3 cm circles (doesn’t need to be exact) from the Dark Blue and Green card. Starting anywhere on the outside of the circle cut slim spirals leaving and small circle at the end.

Step 22

Attach the spirals to the underneath of the top of the tag using Glossy Lacquer.

Hope you enjoy this project and can use the tag on a bottle for the host of your New Year’s Party (or anytime for that matter).
